getting ready for the hike

these signs were everywhere, but I never actually saw a baboon :(

sign post is case I was lost it told me how to get every where. Rio, New york, etc.

we walked out to the old light house.

cliffs below the light house.

yep it says "South pole 8040 km"

this sign talks about how the light house at the top of the cliff got fogged in more often then not and how so many ships hit the rocks looking for the light house that they built a new one in 1919.

current operating light house

the wind was amazing. according to one sign it is "the windiest place on earth frequented by humans."

PENGUINS!

Mommy penguins and 2 chicks

This was a long busy day and the batteries on my camera died so I didn't get pictures of the evening events but mostly it involved street performers and a walk to see the soccer stadium used in the world cup last year.
