Preface: There are lots of people that have made a difference in our lives. And we appreciate you all. But for this post we are rambling about the Cromers. So with Seth's first birthday over, and our 6 year anniversary from our first date Sam and I have been talking about how much life has changed for us. And when talking about change you end up talking about the people that helped you change for the better. The person that has made a huge difference for us (and for alot of other people) is Bishop Cromer and his wonderful family. So we'll describe Bishop Cromer for all of you that don't know him. He's secretly Santa Claus. I used to joke that people would go into his office tell him everything they wanted and someone he would deliver just like Santa Claus! He's the most jolly, friendly, loving person. And his wife Connie is exactly the same. You just can't help but feel good around them. So Sam and I started listing off memories of the Cromers, here are a few: 1. Bishop Cromer going down the water slide at the primary activity, a few times with primary children hanging on his back. ( and I even have video of this to prove it, but it's on our old computer that crashed, but I'll get it and post it later)
2. Bishop Cromer letting the children cut off pieces of his "favorite" tie as a reward for singing really well in primary. 3. Bishop and Sister Cromer being Santa and Mrs. Claus for my disabled clients, on a Saturday morning even though he was sooooo sick.

4. Talking with him on a Sunday morning he said "I love that smell." In my head I'm thinking all I smell is cigarette smoke. He continued to say "that it's the smell of some one coming back." 5. Sitting around the Cromer house on a Sunday night laughing and talking with the TV in the background. (Sometimes we would bake cookies just for an excuse to go over there to drop them off and hopefully hang out) 6. Bishop covering his face to brave taking out the nastiest diaper pail in the women's bathroom. More than once. 7. I never knew the cannery could be so much fun as when we went with the Cromers, Marshall's, Sister Gray, and Sister Ballard. 8. Sister Cromer watching Seth early (I mean really early) in the morning while I went into surgery. My Dad dropped him off to her when he had to go to work. 9. Being invited into their home to get to know their wonderful children. Dallin and Jamie, Katie and Ryan, and Nicole. They are so close and so Funny! 10. Bishop and Sister Cromer understood when we put Louie down and didn't say "he's just a dog." 11. We had just moved for Sam's job, Sam got layed off, I was working temp jobs because it was about to be summer so schools weren't hiring. And we were so down. We went to see Bishop Cromer countless times. Every time we left feeling lifted up and with new hope that things would change. He told us to walk. Which turned out to be some of the greatest advice we've ever gotten. We started walking together, talking, meeting neighbors, making friends, losing weight, and running some energy out of the dogs. 12. Bishop and Sister Cromer are very intuitive people. There were times they would just look at you and know. Whether it was things about your past, or that you needed a kind word at that moment. 13. The only time Bishop was ever firm with me was when I went to the Primary activity while of bedrest. He kept telling me to "sit down". 14. Sister Cromer coming out to say Hi when we walked by and love on the dogs. 15. Floods in the foyer. 16. The Cromer family driving all the way to Orem for Cake and Ice Cream for Sam's Birthday. 17. So many other things So this is starting to sound like Eulogy. The Cromer's aren't dead, dying or otherwise, (at least I think so...). And I guess it started out that the Cromer's were the Bishop's family, but now it turned into them just being our friends. We just wanted everyone to know how wonderful the Cromers are!
