The zoo

My brother Brad and his wife had spent a week at their stakes Trek.
He had one more day off and wanted to go to the zoo with his kids and invited us to tag along.
My parents came too.
So we went and explored the zoo.

This summer's exhibit is Lego figures.
You can't really tell in the pic but the picture in the frame is made of Legos.

Christian was not cooperating for pictures.
 But Tyler and Seth would
Chris wanted to be pampered by Grandma and pushed around in a stroller

The polar bear is life sized and made of Legos.

There were more Lego Animals, snakes, birds, monkeys etc. It was pretty cool

Rizzo the polar bear saying Hi

Christian finally started to warm up to being at the zoo.

 It's a lego Monkey.
 We saw the bird show.
We gave the birds some money.

We got to see the Eagles up close.

 We rode the Carousel.

Normally Lexi loves the Carousel. But today it was way past nap time and she was done.

We headed home. We made dinner. (It was supposed to be already made I put it in the Crockpot, turned it on, but didn't plug it in. Duh!) Then we headed to see Tarzan at the Scera, an outdoor theater here.

It was fun. Not the best performance I've ever seen but by far not the worst. The kids enjoyed it. It was fun to be outside and I love live theater so it was a very fun, very busy day.

More gymnastics

The boys still love gymnastics. The weekend they ask how much longer until they get to go  to the gym. I love it too. They get energy out. They get to run and climb. So it's a win win.

It drives Lexi crazy to be  there and not be able to run around and play with  them. So we started doing the Mommy and me class. And she loves it too. She loves to run and jump and tumble. She's not great and following the circuit but she's only 15 months old so that's ok. She will do a summer sault and clap and say yeah! She will stand up and put her arms in the air and say ta-da! She loves it.

They may never be Olympic gymnasts but if they get stronger, have fun and learn how to tuck and roll I'm happy.
