I know it's late and out of order, but better late then never Right?
Thanksgiving break was wonderful! I loved having Sam home for 5 whole days, it was glorious!
So here's what we did:
Wednesday: Marie had School and Sam worked until 3. Sam and I cooked Chinese food at home for dinner. Wontons, Orange Chicken, Chow Mein, Hot and Sour Soup, and of course the boys helped. Then we made homemade doughnuts.
The next day Thursday Thanksgiving Day... We went to my Parents house. I forgot my camera. But we had a great time, John and his family were there, So was Brad and his family, Cousin Emmalee and her family, and the guests of honor Grandma Gayle and Jim. It was fun to get together. We headed home in the late afternoon and cuddled up and watched a movie.

Friday, Buddy the Elf came, but that's a different post. We cooked a BIG thanksgiving dinner and had the Sister Missionary's over to share it. along with Stephanie (Marie's staff). While the turkey was cooking we decorated the tree, made sugar cookies, baked a cheesecake, and just had a great relaxing day. After a very yummy dinner and everyone had left we cuddled up again and watched the Muppet Christmas Carol with the glow of our Christmas tree.
Saturday, We set up more Christmas Decorations, cleaned, played games, and cooked a chicken dinner for the Sister Missionaries, my Parents and Grandma Gayle and Jim.
Grandma Gayle and Jim and our Family
Grandma Gayle Jim and the Boys.
Seth is sure that Jim is friends with Santa Claus and kept telling Jim what he wanted for Christmas so that Jim could tell Santa.
Sunday was a relax day, with the normal church day. We cooked a big roast and potatoes and had my cousin Adam over for dinner.
But here's was else we did while relaxing:
We practiced our most pathetic looks
We played the Wii
Sam and Seth "Camped" in the Living Room.
We played Scrabble (yep with Cheese Nip Crackers I love the Scrabble crackers, I got them to help Seth with is letters)
We played in the snow.
We also got out our Nativity Sets. I have a lot of Nativity Sets. And Seth always wants to play with them. So this year I got one for the boys that they could play with. It's a Little People Nativity. I think it is so cute. The star lights up and it plays Christmas songs.
Seth had to add the Sock Monkey, because there was a palm tree. Since the pictures he has added a few more animals like an elephant from our Noah's ark Little People set.
It was a great weekend, we had tons of fun, and ate A Lot!
