Summer fest

We've lived her 5 years and never been to Orem Summer fest. Sam had to work and the kids wanted something  to do so we ventured down there.
They got to see the fire truck.

And the Ambulance.
We visited some booths.
They played a game and each won a frog.
Then we headed home after all the frogs can't get to hot. It was a simple quick outing and that was fine by me.

New k9 kid

Since Lucy died I haven't been sure about another dog.
And when all the stuff happened with Polly I was really leery of getting another dog.
I would sometimes get on the pet adoption website and look. (because it makes me less sad than the foster care adoption website.)
I kept looking at this one dog at the Humane society in SLC. He just looked like the dog we needed. I watched him for a month to see if he would be adopted. I emailed him to a friend who was looking for a dog.
He was still there and Maggie was getting lonely. So I gave in and we went to meet him.
And you know we are big softies and you can't meet him and leave him there.
He's a boy.
He's a puggle, pug beagle mix.
He's 4.
He  got along fine with Maggie.
He's housetrained.
He let the kids play with him, pull his ears and tail. He was gentle with them.
He's not going to leap over the fence or squeeze through any where.
He's not a big barker. And Sam and I both just felt like he was our dog.

The thing is, is that he's a mix of our two dogs, Lucy and Louie, that passed away. He looks very similar  to Louie. He lays like Louie. He likes to lay in the sun like Louie. He has a huge neck like Louie so a collar doesn't really work.
To look at this picture, if you just glanced at it you could think it was Lucy. She always laid with her legs out like that, we called it her pancake butt. He is a hoover like Lucy and will eat everything dropped on the floor. He spins 3 times when he poops just like Lucy. He has soft ears like Lucy and will almost purr when you rub them just like Lucy.
He has a sweet calm personality that is what we wanted and he fits in fine here so far. We still haven't picked a name but will hopefully decide on one soon. And it looks like our family grew again, this one feels permanent.

More tball

Every game gets a little bit better. It goes a little bit quicker. They can line themselves up mostly independently now. They are paying more attention and know when to run. They are cheering for their team mates. It's been good for him.

Grandpa and Grandma Forsgren came down to see him play a game.

And the fact that his Daddy is the coach makes it even better.

Seven Peaks

I have always been worried about trying to take the 3 kids swimming by myself. Especially to Seven Peaks. But my friend Abby was going with her 2 boys. I had Kate here and she needed something to do so I decided to try it.
They loved it!!
 We floated the lazy river.

Lexi would not sit in her floaty so Abby's little boy used it.
We played in the kiddie pools

 We rode Alligators

 We went down slides
 We splashed

 We did the wave pool

We survived a trip without Daddy to a swimming pool. Everyone had a good time and I'm  the only one who came home burned.

Seven Peaks was Monday. Tuesday was Gymnastics and Hair cuts. Wednesday we spent the day at the Splash Pad park with our SLC friends and I didn't take one pictures how does that happen? Oh well we have a whole summer of fun planned so I will have to take some next time.
