Last week our neighbor who shares our back fence, hurt his arm pretty bad and required a hospital stay in St. George where the accident happened, and multiple surgeries. We prayed for him in Family prayer when we heard about the accident. Seth became very concerned for him, because Brother Cossey is his friend and Chevy's Dad (chevy is the dog). So Seth started praying for him. His prayers went something like this:
Heavenly Father,
Please come and Kiss Brother Cossey's ouchie better.
Thanks
Amen
Then he would run outside and stand at the fence and yell:
Brother Cossey! Brother Cossey! Come out you are all better now!
He would get sad when Brother Cossey didn't come out. And we talked about how sometimes it takes a little while for Heavenly Father to answer our prayers. Like when we prayed that Seth would be better after he swallowed the screw and it took 4 days to come out. But he didn't give up and would pray over and over again during the day and check the kitchen window a few times a day to see if Brother Cossey was out there. I let Brother Cossey's daughter know that we were praying for him, and relayed the story of Seth to her.
Well, Brother Cossey came home from the Hospital yesterday. And Seth prayed, he went outside and yelled Brother Cossey! Brother Cossey! Come out you are all better now!
And Brother Cossey came out, arm still in a huge bandage, but with a huge smile! Seth started to try and climb the fence so Sam lifted him up and he gave Brother Cossey a big hug and asked if Jesus kissed it better. Brother Cossey told him that it was getting better. And thank you for the prayers. We talked for a few minutes and then we went inside. Seth said "I knew Heavenly Father Loves Brother Cossey!"
Oh to have the simple Faith of a 3 year old.
But Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you to Brother Cossey (and Sister Cossey) for coming out there when you just got home after a very very long week, to strengthen Seth testimony!

Seth is so cute. If we ever need any help I will be sure to call Seth to pray for me.
