Christian's tonsils and adenoids were very large and they were effecting his breathing, sleeping and eating, so we had them removed.
Wednesday we headed up to Primary Children's early got checked in and then Christian got to play in their play room. The play room had a large train table so Chris was in heaven.
After that they took his vitals, we met with the NP and changed him into his hospital gown. He was not that excited about having to take off his Thomas Jammies. To get him to calm down they gave him so versade. After that he got loopy. Because he couldn't keep his balance we had to hold him, which wasn't a problem, I really like when he his cuddly I just wish he didn't have to not feel good.
The Helper girl brought him a book that made sounds and was CARS 2. He loved it. We met with the Surgeon and the Anesthesiologist. Then they took him back, ahead of schedule. He let the Anesthesiologist carry him back there with out a problem as long as he got to take the book.
The surgery only took about 35 minutes. The Dr said the tonsils and adenoids were very large. Then it took Chris about another hour to wake up enough that I could go back and sit with him. As he started to wake up he was cranky so they gave him some more versade, which helped him relax but then so did his breathing. So they started him on some O2. But he didn't need it for very long.
And we were headed home.
He is hurting today but will be better soon.
And hopefully now he won't have as many problems with his breathing and such.
We're just so grateful it turned out as easy as it did and he hopefully won't remember a thing.
