Dear Lexi,
It was a little surreal for me to think that you've been in the outside world now longer than you were inside of me (ok so you actually met that milestone last month). It seems so surreal to me. Time has flown by and I want it to slow down so I can cuddle you some more.
You are wiggly now. You want to be down exploring, rolling around. You still haven't mastered crawling on all fours but have gotten really fast at the commando crawl. You are constantly trying to get to the dog water to splash in it. You are always so proud of yourself when you make it all the way there. And if you do by chance sneak in a splash or two you get this little mischievous grin and a little giggle. It's adorable so it's difficult to stay annoyed that there is dog water splashed everywhere.
You are still wobbly when you sit up but are getting better at it. We practice, we practice a lot. You will get it you just have your own time table.
You love to chase the dogs. You will crawl up to Lucy and pull her tail, ears, paws whatever you can get your hands on she will tolerated it until you do your loud shriek with excitement and then she will get up and move to across the room and lay down again. Then you will crawl to her new spot and repeat that same thing.
You still think your brothers are hilarious. They love to push you around in your walker, to give you toys, to talk baby talk to you. They can get you laughing better than anyone. They are very protective over you, and I hope that continues.
You are saying Baba and Mama. You are still working on Dada. You are starting to sign more. You love to eat. You love to eat most things. Your sweet tooth is coming a little bit. But you still aren't a big fan of sweet fruits. Tart cherries... you love them. Sweet Peaches... only if you have to. It's not a bad thing, just another way you are showing that you are different.
You have a very determined little spirit. You want to do things yourself and are already showing that you like to be independent. You get angry if you get blocked out of the kitchen or if we take something away.
The day after Thanksgiving we put up the Christmas tree and you discovered the lights. I love watching you as you discover new things it's pure bliss.
You really are very happy and just happy to be there most moments. You love to be up in the Baby Bjorn where you can see all that's going on. You love to be out and about. (Which is nice because we go adventuring a lot)
Lexi Lou Who I love you!
I am so grateful every single second that I get to be your Mommy.
Love,
Mama
