After all the fun at the parade and carnival we loaded up and headed up Cedar Mtn for Hall Fest.
What is Hall Fest? it's all of Mac and Peggy's kids and all their kids camping.
The boys were so excited, camping, cousins, guns, 4 wheelers, Papa and Grandma what else do you need.
It was quite the caravan.
1 truck pulling a long flat bed trailer full of 6, four wheelers, with a truck bed full of supplies
1 truck pulling a long box trailer with a truck bed full of supplies
1 Tahoe pulling 2 trailers, one full off water barrels and other supplies and one with 2 more 4 wheelers.
3 mini vans, 2 cars and a whole lot of excited little kids.
When we pulled into camp it was a tercentennial down pour.
I will find the muddy pictures I'm sure they are hidden in some folder with my carnival pictures some where.
When Halls set up camp it's no small set up.
They have a 50 man army tent that acts like a living room almost.
They have another large shelter that is the kitchen complete with cupboards.
Then there is the fire pit with plenty of camp chairs.
There is a solar shower, and a large out house. They built it plenty big so Moms can be in there with the little kids and not feel cramped.
And then each family has at least one tent. And there are 9 families so it is quite the camp set up.
They boys were thrilled on the first morning when they pulled out the nerf guns.
So were all the other cousins.
They ran around those woods exploring and shooting each other. It was paradise for them.
After all the shooting fun we took a small hike to explore the lava rocks.
We found a random lean-to
And after a hike we got to go on a 4 wheeler ride.
Lexi enjoyed playing in all the mud puddles.
We also did some archery.
And of course you have to have maracas.
There was no shortage of good food. And Sam loves to help cook. Ken (who was Sam's room mate when we met and they worked together when we lived in St George) was in charge of the kitchen/
There were darts, and bubbles and all sorts of games for the kids to keep busy.
Snacks and good everywhere, Lexi even found a discarded cookie.
We laughed a lot even with the rain and mud.
We ate alot.
There were lots of deep conversations about how to take over the world. There was lots of riding around
Angie planned all sorts of games, we played glow stick bowling. We started a little before dark but it continued well into the night.
And just because I think she's adorable.
